April is the Month of the Military Child

In April, we will honor the children within our military and veteran families for their service, strength, and resilience. It is crucial to acknowledge the needs of our military children and the challenges they encounter at a young age. Despite the challenges faced by military children, they are likely to exhibit a number of protective factors, including increased adaptability, positive coping strategies, enhanced social awareness skills, and an expanded worldview. To learn more about how to work with and better understand the experiences of military children, check out Military Child Education Coalition (MCEC).

“Much like a dandelion, military children can take root and flourish practically anywhere the wind blows them”
